Intervallic Continuity: A Mostly-Tonal System of Harmony
for composing chord progressions around,
outside, and beyond the limitations of a
defined key.
This is the entire system. (The PDF is 110 mb. because of all the jpg examples.)
There are four sections:
The Four Basic Principles
Chord Cycles
The Principle of Recalibration
and Approaching a Chord Progression as Steps of Principled Intervals
This system can give us progressions like this first example, where we can begin to ask questions like, what key are we in, and where are the modulations?
This progression is E Fm Bb Csus C Bsus B E

And this system can give us progressions like this second example, where we can begin to wonder, if we can incorporate any basic major or minor chord, what does the key matter at all?
This progression is C#m F# F#m G Absus Ab Db Dm C F

The Power of a Ring:
A Collective Story

Because all my friends were stuck at home during the pandemic of 2020, I successfully convinced some of them to join me in a story writing project on Facebook. By the end of the project, fourteen people, including myself, had contributed, had authored, a portion or portions of the story. Yet, as much as we were writing together, contributing, we were not collaborating. We did not discuss what would happen in the story. All we did was follow the rules.
I established the rules at the beginning of the project. 1) The universe is unlimited. So, magic, technology, talking bunnies, anything goes. 2) To advance the story, leave a comment with up to no more than two sentences. 3) You can make multiple comments, but there must be at least 2 comments from other people between your comments. 4) All content in the story must be no more intense than PG.
With those rules in place, I made the first comment, and started the story with Destiny Lightheart landing on a lonely planet. That content was a ball I tossed into the air, and, whoever commented next, would catch the ball, advance the story with their new content, and by doing so toss the ball again.
And here is an hour-and-a-half peaceful piano solo which I posted on YouTube, Walk the Dawn Clouds.
Also, my relaxing, instrumental music can be found on Spotify under Brandon Robinson.
